The metacartoonist gives a nod to his long history in minimalist cartooning, with a masterful tongue-in-cheek rendition of the bare minimum in scripting. Of course, the discerning reader will refuse to be taken in by the seeming shallowness of this episode, preferring instead to unravel the myriad hidden layers of meaning concealed within. Thus what at first glance would appear to the uninitiate to be an episode singularly lacking in any effort or redeeming qualities, would naturally, after the close and detailed analysis which it fully deserves, turn out to be a veritable universe of clever and sophisticated allegory.
