Hurtling through normal Puerto Rican traffic with my wife at the wheel singing Christmas songs in Hungarian with the kids, while I catch up on some German translation on the laptop.

Learning that the new song I heard on the radio was sung by a Romanian group, thus was in Romanian and not (as I assumed) in Portuguese, then trying a European spelling of the lyrics in Google instead of a Spanish spelling, immediately finding a translation into Czech with the name of the song, Googling the name of the song to find the name of the band, seeing the fan site in Italian, and finally downloading the song, along with the rest of the album, from Allofmp3.com in Russia for 5 cents a track. Elapsed time: roughly 4 minutes.

Oh, for those of you following along at home, the group is O-Zone and the song is Dragostea Din Tei. Good stuff, and probably not on the radio in the States.

well, not on npr, anyway...although actually, that's probably the most likely place for it to be played.
