Drunk on productivity, the metacartoonist revisits old themes in a masterful show of reduce/reuse/recycle. The insightful and droll way in which he weaves Mao's irresistable twinkle and Dot's characteristic misanthropy into a scintillating byplay of Word and Thought is indeed reminiscent of the early days of the Minimalist Tooning Movement. Moreover, the tantalizingly repeated reference to the Ur-Wolverine speaks to the Jihad in all of us.
