Slipstream - 9.5
I freakin loved this movie, and only after watching did I check out the IMDB on it. A 4.5? Man, remember when you could trust the IMDB?
The movie positively reeks of hand-wavy physics, but it's still not as bad as Berthold radiation, and I found the whole thing utterly charming, especially the ending, which, OK, was predictable -- but in a good way. And now that I know the whole thing was shot in 27 days on a shoestring budget, I love it twice over.
Of course, I'm a sucker for time travel movies. So take it with a grain of salt, but worth renting.
And while watching it, I made bagels from scratch. Oy gewalt! Such good bagels these are! The second time I've made them, it is, only this time, they're whole wheat.
So: time travel and bagels. One of 'em's not just for breakfast any more.
