Defenestration of Prague Day!

Typing from rented airport terminal as I won't be back in El Paso until late this afternoon, but...

Happy Anniversary of the Defenestration of Prague! Today marks 387 years since that famous day!

Though in transit at the moment, I did lay in some Canada Dry ginger ale, cheese crackers, and bagels and lox in advance, so start the festivities without me, someone, anybody! Let us not fall prey to laxity and allow this most sacred of days to pass us by without proper ceremony!

Let us not forget the lessons that are to be learned on this, the 387th anniversary of The Defenestration of Prague: windows can start wars, you might need that pile of manure outside to break your fall, and "Mattias" is a funny-sounding name.

Gaaa! i disappear for, what, three months and find i've not just laxed out on our High Holy Day but Midsummer has come and started agitating for its place of honour. nay! back! let clear a season on either side (your pick) from, oh, Imbolc to Lammas to mark the dread affair! let all of nineteen score and seven recall (however dimly) the events of their natal year, and vow Never again to let a good window go untrajected.

So mote it be.
