Months early, but to croon an apt ditty...

Secretary Thomson (reading in song from General Washington's message) I have lost all expectation of receiving a reply

To any of my last sixteen dispatches.

Is anybody there?

Does anybody care?

Is anybody there?

Adams (continuing) Is anybody there?

Does anybody care?

Does anybody see what I see?

It seems they want me to quit. They say, John, give up the fight.

Still to England I say, goodnight, forerver, goodnight!

For I have crossed the Rubicon, let the bridge be burned behind me, Come what may, come what may.

[and much later] How quiet, how quiet the chamber is. How silent, how silent the champer is

well, i'm sorta here - although my computer at home is sick, which cuts down my on-line time some...and at the moment i seem to be buried in work. (thus, i hope, explaining my complete lack of creativity at the moment.)

on the home front, the painters are almost finished, and the cat has almost forgiven me...
