Busy, busy, busy!

Well, chilluns, guess what I've been doing?

THE FORUM ARCHIVE IS HEREBY RE-OPENED FOR BUSINESS!

It's here. Ain't that special? The scary part is that the list of threads is very, very long.

Odd. I'd think if people were going to time-travel to the past and post here, they'd at least have something creative to say. Like, "I went to Michael's house and stole all his toys! He cried. It was funny. And then I gave him a Mao doll to play with." or something.

Those have been there for a long time (even longer than it's been since you could see them...) -- they're a side effect of the Grim Thread Reaper. Eventually I'll fix it. In the meantime, shut up. (Napoleon, dear? Maybe it's time for a nice defenestration.)

Not *precisely* what I meant, but close enough.

Chris, in lieu of denefestration, you'll just have to appear in the comic instead.

Do not meddle in the typos of metacartoonists, for they are subtle and quick to anger.

You were last seen assimilating people into D&M Rolled Smoking Insects and Cybercollective. The precise relationship between these two shadowy organizations remains to be seen.

why dont they make grape jello?

don't they? that does seem to leave a hole. as i remember, the 'sparkling' jellos were white grape .... but of course that's not quite the same thing.

on the other hand, there is grape jelly, which does maintain better structural integrity at room temperature...

Arr, I much prefer a flagon of gelatinous grog or a cake of frozen mead with decorative fruits embedded therein, arr. Yo ho ho and a carton of milk!

well, ok - a good jell-o fight is always worthwhile.

oh, yeah - you're quoting that tagline on dragons...no, wait - that one was 'for you are crunchy and good with ketchup'

wizards! that was it! wizards! you've been over lotr again. (but that was the *affairs* of wizards - if we didn't meddle in the affairs of the metacartoonist, what _would_ he have to 'toon?) that's right - 'the two towers' will be out in just a few short months...

you know, some day some poor innocent is going to start through the archives again, and be much surprised by all these random piratical interjections. which of course is what makes it all worthwhile.

ahoy maties! clamdiggers it is! (although something with rum would probably be more appropriate.....)

Let's go rum guzzlin', then! Or get sloshed on grog!

I chose that particular phrase because it reminded me of one of my favorite "Barney Miller" lines: "What do you say we guys go down to the beach and shoot some clams?"

Speaking of which, James Gregory, who played Inspector Luger on the series, passed away this week at the age of 90. Sigh.

was that from the marijuana brownies episode? it must have been - i can just here wojo saying it.

sad to hear about james gregory. the one unfortunate thing about great shows like that ones is so many of the actors are never seen again. ron glass is apparently on the new show 'firefly' - at least he was on the first show, although i missed the credits - still, that alone will make me check it out again.

It was from the famous brownies episode, but the line was actually said by Nick Yemana, and all the funnier for it. Ah, Jack Soo.

I missed the first episode myself, but according to online sources, he is indeed a regular, as Shepherd Book, the "space preacher." Since the last time I saw him in a regular role was on the horrid sitcom "Teen Angel" as a giant disembodied angelic head, I'll probably be watching this series.

of course - and you're right, it was funnier from yamana. i do miss that show - have to search the listings to see if _someone_ isn't showing it.
