Archiving the message board

I just posted a link into this realm of the Jihad, and it suddenly occured to me that it won't be a very permanant link if that big long thread happens to get archived. Then it occured to me that Michael hasn't implemented that 256 message limit yet. Will the board ever be trimmed? Will the awful cap upon big honkin' long threads ever be put into place? Was it just a threat to keep us from trying to continue our current big honkin' long thread? Am I just trying to start a pointless discussion as an excuse to increase my post count since I realized that Napolean has been posting more than me lately? So many questions...

Yeah. You want more episodes, or you want upkeep? Sheesh, you jihad people are just *never* *satisfied*.

Actually, I will be doing thread archival relatively soon. Is the link someplace where you can change it when the time comes? Otherwise, you're screwed, man. I don't like WebBBS too much and I'm not going to keep it forever.

Yeah, it's BoxJam's forum. Pimpin' for the jihad, again. Someone mistakenly thought that BoxJam's name is Rich Box, whereas we all know he's really James Box thanks to his entry in the InterNIC database.

Rich Box. Snort. When it's painfully obvious that as Box, James, on a six-letter nomenclature, he'd be boxjam. Probably an old Vax username from his school days.

But why comment? I figured we'd just let that thread die, as it's far more interesting to have BoxJam be BoxJam than have him be somebody real with an actual name.

It looks like BoxJam is where it will remain, since the name James is now being denyed by one. Oh well, whatever. He will always be BoxJam to us, but his real name is somewhat important for stal^H^H^H^H planning a pilgrimage.

(Scene: BoxJam's front lawn.)

Policeman: Hey, you! Yeah, you guys, in the blue robes! You can't camp there! That's private property!

Gopher: The Jihad is on a religious pilgrimage, officer. We are merely waiting for the Forty-Second Coming of the BoxJam.

Policeman: Fine, take it to Mecca then. Get going or I'll arrest the lot of you!

Gopher: Silence, unbeliever, or you shall be ruthlessly smited!

nd: Smitten.

Tirdun: Smote.

Joe: Punched in the face.

Lee: Electrocuted and decapitated.

Gopher: SHUT UP! Whatever it is, we're doing it to you! Brother Emsworth, fetch the wolverines!

Emsworth: Erm... the wolverines sort of escaped, Your Eminence...

Gopher: 'Sort of'?

Emsworth: Yes, they got away from Brother Pooga but we know they're somewhere in the first floor of the house--

(Snarling and a bloodcurdling shriek from one of the tents)

Emsworth: Or not.

Gopher: EVERYONE RUN FOR IT!!

(Some glass breaks. BoxJam is hurled out a second-story window.)

Napoleon: (from the window) For the honor of the Jihad! FLY!

(BoxJam completely fails to do so and instead lands on Chris.)

Napoleon: Um... I didn't do it.

Hmm... I seem to have gotten a little carried away... ah well.

Re: Archiving the message board

Aaaah! Aaah! Foul! Chris is displaying more wit than the rest of us can keep up with! Well, more than I can keep up with. Somebody stop him! Perhaps by dropping a BoxJam on him...

Good heavens, that cracked me up.

It seems that I can't stop laughing. I think it started trying to imagine two cops bein mystically smitten with the jihad...

Re: Archiving the message board

God bless my soul! That is utterly hilarious! Napoleon defenestrating BoxJam.... "Yeah, you guys, in the blue robes!"..... I have no idea where the wolverines came from, but that was simply inspired! Bravo!

Michael should make a page for this!

Augh! Laughing, can't...stop. And I think "smitten" would be correct in this case.

Yes, it was funny. And here is my lonely one line. Can my sock have a blue robe too?
