Apart from being slightly political, reflecting the alleged attitude of youths towards "30 somethings" in the early 70's, a fanciful reaction to the ratification of the 18 year-old vote, and overall somewhat odd and surreal, there's another reason I thought this link might be of interest to the PAFTWJ. Be sure and click the link to the Boss Smiley image, who is not only rather oddly stylized in comparison to the other characters (and appropriately named, looking like a refugee from Dick Tracy), but apparently a practitioner of the fine art of defenestration. Further proof of the cultural significance of window hurling.

'Running on the New Flower Party Ticket' which, as you might recall, narrowly won the majority. It was only because of a tragic misunderstanding. The Bakers Association of America backed the party in the mistaken belief that it was called the New Flour Party. These grassroots organizations and their crazy word of mouth political machinations...

i like the 'central city battle zone map' -

why do i suspect that 'boss smiley' was modeled on another central us mayor whose name ended in 'ley', who was a well-known king-maker in his time?

maybe the monkey was the v.p. (i _hate_ cliffhangers like that)
