Are spammers reading Toonbots now?

Well, I checked my e-mail today and found a piece of spam (concerning an online casino game thingummy.) That in itself was mildly annoying but unsurprising, but by an eerie coincidence the spammer (who aparently forwarded this to over half a dozen addresses) opened his missive with the following:

"Hey Fred"

I'm not kidding. This is almost as eerie as Michael updating five times a week (and much less pleasant.) Either one of the Jihad is actually a spammer, or these people are reading Toonbots but wisely leaving Michael alone, so as not to share the same fet which befell Tammy Lewis. Or it could all be a mere coincidence (albeit a disturbingly amusing one.)

I think it's coincidence. If you're interested, post (or email) the full headers of the spam in question and we'll see if there's any clues.

I don't know. The other day the checkout guy winked at me and asked: "How's the bear in the hat?"

I ran like hell.
