I concur wholeheartedly. In fact, I think the strip may have reached a turning point. Having already mastered surreal juxtoposition of captions and subtle political humor, it now has a minimalist plot. We've seen two parts so far. I think the time may be ripe for some rambling speculation.

So to get the ball rolling.....

The bot and the dot are now acquainted with each other. However, what direction could this relationship take? They appear to be getting along quite well so far, rollicking together. But is there more beneath the surface? Are the pair actually communicating on a deeper level, imparting to each other the true meaning of existence?

Or are there more sinister doings afoot? Could the dot grow resentful at how the Toonbot is slowly taking over his limelight? Could the Toonbot be resentful of the dot?

What will happen when the dot makes the startling discovery that the Toonbot is actually George W. Bush in disguise? In which case, the dot may be facing dire peril, and only his resourcefulness and innate nobility may save him now. And how will the monkey play into all of this?

Well, we may or may not find out in the next exciting installment Either way, capital, capital!

The monkey is part of a vast government conspiracy to lock up the bot and the dot and run extensive tests on them to determine each one's age, sex, astrological sign, shoe size, political position, lung capacity, DNA structure, and favorite brand of cereal.

But you didn't get that from me, k?

I'm going to have to think about this one.... You know, of course, that the Toon-o-matic is being written by an infinite number of monkeys on terminals, right? I'm just debugging it.
