Many Laughs...

Well, I'll be the first to give kudos for the latest ToonBots. I appreciate that the Communist Saga has somehow influenced canon Toonbots. As for the rest:

1) "Commiecon" made me laugh out loud. In fact, I laughed again when I typed it. 2) Fidel! WOOOT! 3) Fidel speaking French! Why is this so funny to me?!? 4) Emsworth!

Tirdun the Mad.

Me too! CommieCon! In Philadelphia, yet! Wonder what John Adams would have thought of that!

Fidel is swell!

Si, es muy divertido, n'cest pas?

Bless my soul! Ahem! Needless to say, I was surprised and very flattered by my meta-appearance in today's strip. And the dialogue.... Simply superb, Michael, old horse! Yay!

::Alaric growls gratefully at being mentioned in today's toon, and decides to leave Michael's recliner alone for the moment, and goes off in search of nutritious drapes::

Addendum

Oh, dash it all, forgot to mention the venerable "left turn at Albuquerqu" gag. Most amusing. Capital work. Matter of fact, I've been to Albuquerque. Not a bad place, really.

I was through there just recently, but didn't stop. Saw a bit of historic downtown Santa Fe, though. Problem is I was going to use that "left turn at Albuquerque" gag as an excuse to superimpose a comic character from Philly into my shots of the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. Now that would look hopelessly derivative. *sigh*

I have no idea why it's funny that Fidel speaks French. I'm not entirely sure where that came from -- I wrote him in Spanish, then all of a sudden I thought, "No! That's exactly what they'll be expecting!" So I changed it. And I giggled the whole time.

Your less than stellar response has angered Ho Chi Minh.

I suggest you rethink your stance on this great man.

Don't make me actually write something on Toonbots, because that would be boring.

What say you, guys? Defenestrate 'im, defenestrate 'im painfully, or just let the wolverines decide?

::wolverines growl in great excitement, and Fenny and Alaric start licking their lips::

Licking their lips?

I thought I was going to be hunted down and hurt, not forced into an amateur bestality flick that some shut ins have planned for the weekend.

*sigh*

Oh, Ilya. The wolverines enjoy the build-up, you see.

Napoleon? Defenestrate whatever the wolverines leave relatively intact, if you would.

When the metacartoonist says, "Hmm", Ilya, you really shouldn't underestimate it.
